Taping TT10s

Postby Matt_Potter » Wed May 07, 2014 1:34 am

Just got an Alpha system. When I was researching it a problem early on was the hardware on a second collar touching the contacts on the TT10 and shorting it out causing the collar to shut down.

Has this problem been solved or is it still an issue??

Loving the alpha.

Interesting I have a collar that worked fine the first two races out and after that I have to reprogram it every time. I bought 3 collars and the unit last fall and that one collar has given me fritz the whole time.

Taping TT10s

Love the system - I'm just slipping a chunk of bike inner tube over them to be sure.

Bike inner tube is a good idea , I'm glad you thought of it. I'll use it on mine too. The dogs beat the heck out of mine over the edge of the dog box and the d-rings on their collars. I also put a zip tie pulled down to 1/4 inch size as a keeper for the antennas which now stays curled around their neck. Mine kept getting poked through the mesh steel on the dog box or chewed up by the other dogs .
