Bobcat Hang Outs

Postby Doghunter86 » Sun May 29, 2022 10:54 pm

For all you guys that know bobcats, is there afew particular types of habitat to look for them? Im located in south central MO and have LOTS of public ground to hunt, mostly national forest. Game can be scarce and spread out. Im thinking areas that would hold possible food sources, clear cuts or areas that have been logged with briars and shrub growth coming up. What about open woods areas or dry creek bottoms. In truth I know very little on the types of habitat cats can be found or are fond of. Ive spotted several cats over the past years in very varied terrain, and realize that any game can travel anywhere, but its where the cats call home I'm interested in.

summer to winter it changes and breeding season. I think with experience you get a better feel. I don't really look for habitat I hunt east side of the cascades out into the desert. usually just looking over terrain I think to myself "got to be a cat in here"
