JC, do you have to have a deadline? How bout taking entries until the days are filled up or past? I think you might get more after they see they got a young world beater turning it on in January. That might give some of the younger hunters a goal to strive for. Not confident enough now, but might see their dog getting really tuned in nice and ready for an adventure in a week or two, if there is still an opening.

I think it is the only fair way, so everyone has a blind pick on the weekend they chose. WEATHER being the issue. This year might not get that many but we are up to 15 now. next year I was thinking about having it in south texas if someone down there had a place to hold it.

Just maybe some of those old seasoned hunters have nothing to prove to anyone. I just am tickled to death if I get one in a tree, I know I don't have the best dog. World championship seems to be missing some of the better old time cat hunters? I wonder what it would take to get all them in there on the hunt? I would truly love to see the best bobcat dog in the Northwest hunt. It sounds like the weather, when you draw out to hunt will determined a lot of what happens on a hunt. I would love to see a world champion bobcat hunt, but don't have a clue as to how you could run one. It sounds like this will be a lot of fun for the ones that do it though. Good luck everyone. Dewey

coos co Oregon this year. I think this will turn into something big in a few years. figured I would start here and move it around the u.s. to a different state every year. if possible. I think it should only be held on dry ground . jmo . So if u are from Oregon and don't want to drive to texas next year u better sign up. lol now were at 16.

Shouldnt matter dry ground, snow, wind, hot or cold. east, west, north or south sounds like some of these dogs can get it done anywhere any time. Should be a dandy time. Keep us all posted jc. Andy

I realize there may be a dozen other reasons why you need a November deadline, and I respect greatly your organizational skills. It really is a marvel to me that you do stuff like this and pull it off so well.

Just passing on the sentiments of a non-resident of Oregon that I know of.

Speaking of Maine, there are a lot of good cat dogs in that state, and I would like to suggest it as a location for the competition in the future, if you want to test all issues found within bobcat hunting in North America. Wisconsin or the UP of Michigan or Minnesota would be my next choice, (in that order) and would be more central. Except now that I think of it Minnesota is the only one that allows out of state tags of those three. Will have to find out about Maine.
