Young Redbone
A friend gave me a young registered Redbone male.He started slow but is coming on strong. A natural and I mean natural tree dog.Built for speed and is developing a cold nose.Bawl on track, chop at the tree.Triple T breeding out of Montana. I have high hopes for him as he's one of the best prospects I've had in a long time. I 'LL know after this season.
Re: Young Redbone
He sure is a pretty dog. It is fun to see you excited about a young dog. Keep us in photos as he develops. I sure enjoy them.

Re: Young Redbone
Thanks guys! I go through a lot of hounds but few make it for very long here,so I do get excited when a good prospect comes along.
I bred my Raisen gyp to a stud that has the potential of being the best cross I've ever made but that still doesn't mean the pups will turn out.lol
Knowing what the ancestry is for generations back helps with that prediction but isn't fool proof.

Re: Young Redbone
He is for sure a nice looking young dog. If he has nose, track, locate, tree, speed, intelligence and DESIRE without in-corrrectable faults; you have hit the jack box.

Re: Young Redbone
Red is progressing nicely.Just trees naturally with no false trees so far. He
has a cold nose and lots of hustle. He has some quirks but no serious faults.
Opens good with Raisen but is tight by himself. Runs a jump track like a running dog with a big bawl mouth. I hope to get him rigging soon but haven't put him up there much because of the cold.
I can't say for sure that he'll suit me yet but he'll definitely be worth some money.
