We have a wall when you walk into the house, and it has hooks to hang all the collars we have then all the docking stations for the radios, tritronics, Garmin etc. nailed to the wall, and then we have like 2 power strips hooked to the wall to plug everything into. And that all hooks into 2 electrical outlets on our light, it seems to work all right as long as we remember to hang everything up and plug it in when we come back from hunting

Re: Charging station for all our gear?
This past season, I got tired of the mess I had with all the charging cords for everything I use for hunting. (pretty pethetic what this hound hunting has come to). I had cords to charge four radios, four GPS collars, one Astro, one tracking box, AA battery charger, two shock collars and a transmitter.
I had all this junk (14 chargers) in a box and it was a nightmare trying to find the charger I was looking for. Then when I did find it, it was tied up in knots.
So I went down and found this plastic handgun case at Walmart. I put several electrical plug strips in it along with all the chargers. I drilled holes on the sides for the DC 30 chargers and the rest on top for the other cords to come out. I put grommets around the holes so the plugs can't slide back in. The cords can be pulled out and attached to the unit your charging and slid back in when your done. I labeled them so they are easy to identify. So far, it has solved my problem of finding the charger I'm looking for.

Seems we all have the same challenges.
I threw together a charging board for the camper, and then when I get home I just hang it over a small bench area in the mud room and plug it back in. The portability works good for me, as I can use it at home or on the road.

Re: Charging station for all our gear?
i thought about making one in shop with power strips on the lid and you would lift the lid up and in there i could put my other coon huntn stuff and it all be in the same place..til then..its a mess..
Re: Charging station for all our gear?
I did about the same as these guys. I got one of those cheap wire shelves from Menards and put the all the drop in charges on that with the power strips. I found a power strip that had like 5 plug ins coming off it, so a guy could use all 5. With most bulky charger heads you can't do that.
Then I took a oak board and screwed those tritonics chargers on one end and a couple of coat hooks on the other. Shock collars on one end with garmin's on the other.

Re: Charging station for all our gear?
I will try to take a picture of mine this weekend and post it. If I can remember. Anyways, I'll try to explain it. I got a 1x8 (white pine) board about 4 foot long for the backing then took a 1x4 (white pine) and then attached my Tri Tronics charges to it. I then took them back off and drilled 1 hole behind every other charger bank and cut a "notch" with my skill saw in the back of the board to accomidate the wire and not pinch it when I screwed the two boards together. I then ran my dual charger wire threw the hole and into each port and attached the chargers. Then I drilled 1 hole threw the other board and ran all the wires threw it. I then screwed the boards together. I then put two 1x2 strips across the back of this board so not to pinch the wire when attaching it to the wall. Then I put coat rack hangers across the bottom of the board to hold my garm collars, tracking collars, leads and other junk. Later on I put attached a top shelf with a 1 inch lip. I then drilled a hole threw the back of the lip to accomidate the wires for my marine radio charger and my hand held tri tronics charger. The hand held charger on the tri tronics doesn't have a place for screwing it down so I just wedged it between the marine charger that is screwed down and the lip. I put pup collars, shells, tracker box and any other junk I pull out of my pockets on the shelf. It's all in one nice little tighty area.

Re: Charging station for all our gear?
No, I've had just about everything plugged in at one time and I did open it up once after someone else suggested checking that. It wasn't even warm. Make sure you get a 'box' big enough. This one has two plug strips in it plus all the chargers. Works great. If I go somewhere over night, I just throw it in the truck and I know I have everything with me.

Re: Charging station for all our gear?
Just now getting around to posting some pictures of my charging station for ya.
I'm no carpenter so don't laugh. Here is the upper shelf for storing crap. I still haven't gotten around to empting most of it out of my pack.
Here you can see the Tri Tronics charger. The hole for the wires is centered directly behind the charger and two chargers are run from the dual bank charger. I put enough space between each charger so that I can pull the wire loose.
As you can see I'm no carpenter but, the bottom 1x2 is attached to the wall and the upper 1x2 is attached to the charging bank. This way I could let the two rest on each other and make attaching it all to the wall easier.

Re: Charging station for all our gear?
Thank you folks for your imput and taking the time to share your pic's also. I liked a little from everyone, here is what i'm giving a try, I believe it was an old brief case laying around, the peg board, for possible heat and easy to attach to, I've got a couple more things to add, but I like this setup, its compact for traveling, and a nice clean look when setting around.
