Colorado Coons

Postby Plowdog » Mon Mar 04, 2013 5:12 pm

Just wanting some information on coon hunting in Colorado. Is there a season on these critters and what is it? I wanted to keep my dogs tuned up this summer but cant find any information on it. I dont want to kill any but would love to run them this summer. Any info would be great! Thanks

If you are wanting to run your dogs this summer I am trying to get a field trials going. May not get the blm permit I need in time cause it takes up to 6 months but if you're interested I'll keep u posted.

Coon season ended feb 28 in Colorado. This state has nothing for training hounds in the off season unless u wanted to run coyotes which I'm sure most don't, kind of a bummer it'd be nice to at least have a no kill training season or something

What about on private land? Not interested in the trials. Gas is getting too expensive to do much traveling. This state is just getting out of hand. Thanks for the info!
