Poor Injured Pup

Postby charlie_merrifield » Mon Jan 16, 2017 2:40 am

About a week ago my poor 6 month bluetick pup ran full speed into a door frame in our house. She ended up separating a growth plate in her front shoulder. Strict kennel rest for a week andd probably 4 weeks before anymore hunt training. Sad because she was doing so well with her training.

Sorry to hear that Charlie. She will probably be even better than ever when you stat back up again, and you will wonder how that could be.

I think you could continue conditioning with loud noises or gunfire at feeding time, couldn't you?

Glad to know she is doing good.

yes I have been doing that. Just her coon training will have to hold. I have done several scent drags in the woods run it up a tree. SHe finds the right away. Will get up on the tree for a couple seconds too
