Tone training

What are yalls methods for tone training hounds that are older dogs not puppies

What do you want them to do with the tone?

Tone them then call them. If they don't come tap them then call followed by the tone. Every dog I have will quit and wip around on the tone and most have never been tapped. I make sure that tone only means one thing and that's quit what you are doing and come back.
