astro 320
Unit is only a couple months old. wouldn't turn off last night ,so had to take the batteries out . Now it will not turn on . Anybody ever had this happen .

Have never seen or heard of it in the finished product. This is going to be the stupid question of the day. Do you have good batteries? See what I mean
Now that I think about it more. Do you have a chip in it? If so maybe that is the problem. Try taking it out. If not, it is a first.

Even tried hooking it up with the USB cord to computer still nothing. My 220 turns on automatic when I hook it up to my computer

Well that is interesting! Can't say there is much that can be done. When I was testing the very first prototype there were a few problems. Not sure if this will work or not. But at this point anything is worth a shot.
Hold the map, and enter button down at the same time. Then try to power the unit on while still holding these buttons down. If it works it will ask if you want to erase all data. Say yes and go on.
Hope it works for you. If not you will either have to contact Garmin to get it replaced.
What were you doing when this happened? Anything that you can recall may help. As I am going to relay the info to Garmin and ask about it. Not that it will help you, but am curious myself.

was just tracking the dogs and was going to talk on the radio . and needed to turn it off but it wouldn't with the power button so took out the batteries. after done talking put batteries back in and it wouldn't do nothing .

Steve this astro was my brother's . Thanks, what you said to do worked. It now turns on and off. don't know what would've locked it up . But it works fine now. Thank you
