hooking the 320 to the 12v

hooking the 320 to the 12v

I got the 12v connector for my 320 to save batteries while tracking form my truck but when I plug it in I get the same screen as when you have it connected to the computer why is this what am I doing wrone

You have to have a Garmin brand charger.

yeah thats the one I got. but when I hook it up the screen looks the same as when you are doing updates on the computer. You have to unplug it to look at the maps or track your dog...

I had this same problem. The 12 volt harness you are using is the old one that works with the 220. You will need to get the newer one made for the 320 and newer Garmin GPS's.

Kelly is correct, You must have the 12v setup for the 220, it will not work on the 320.

The 320 adaptor will work for both but the 220 adaptor, (as well as many cell phone adaptors) will only work on the 220
