Taking dogs to hunt this winter....$400.00 a month

Post by poser »

I'm going to take on a few dogs to hunt this winter so that i might be able to quit one of my jobs and get out in the mountains a bit more. I some how usually end up hunting a pile of dogs anyway so i thought i'd give this a try.

Hounds 6 months or older $400.00 a month. I will be hunted mostly in Utah but will also travel to Nevada and California. They will be hunted mostly on lion. Might get to see a few bear and bobcats.....elk, deer, skunks, moose, etc... Hunted from trucks, fourwheelers, snowmobiles, horses and walking.

I will also start pups from 6 weeks to 5 months old. $250.00 a month.

All dogs and pups must be caught up on vaccinations.

If you have any questions, give me a call. Leave a message and i'll get back to you.

Thanks, Jason 801 633 4659

Thanks,

This is a great deal! He hunts just about every condition there is i believe. I asked him one day why he was out hunting when it was raining and the snow was melting and mud was everywhere. He told me that that is how you make dogs is when you have the worst conditions and are out in it to find out just what your dogs can do and who can push the track through the mud ect. I honestly think he is absolutely right because he called me back while he was walking to a tree :D. I know that he hunts his dogs like this because they need to be ready and able for anywhere he takes them. This is one heck of a deal if you ask me. 300.00 bucks for me is about 3 trips to the woods in my gas guzzler. If it was legal for me to chase lions or bears here, I would have my whole pack down there this winter with him!!!! some people are going to be getting a great deal!

Thats a great deal if any of u have some dogs u want to see more lions or just have the opportunity to work, you will defendantly get your moneys worth. Jason has worked dogs for me before and i will be sending two more to him this winter, he does a great job and is able to show them more game than i can possibly even see in a season. For those who don't know him you wont find a more honest hard working guy, money well spent.

Scott, the dogs will be hunted in whatever condition the day brings. Central Utah winter months there will most likely be snow....too much snow. Other times there will be mud and dirt. I'm still in search of an awesome "mud dog". We have everything from big pines to big ledges along with low country cedar and sage. If we are in Nevada you never seem to get away from the rocks and wind no matter where you go. Not sure how the country is gonna be in California but it will be fun tryin it out... Bottom line here is... I am going to treat this like a job. If im not working at my "real job" i'll be on the mountain. I can't guarantee you anything but your dog should see some game. We have more private ground then we can cover, i am as dumb as they come and we some how seem to still catch a couple a year.....

Bency, pups under 5 months will not be hunted with the dogs. They will be doing their own thing on trainers. I dont use any scent on training pups only live game. They have to trail and catch it themselves. If you have a pup 6 months or older it will be turned out everytime with everything else. I'll keep my own dogs in the box to hunt yours if you are paying....That i can guarantee.

I have always ended up hunting other friends dogs and if you ask any of them i will always turn them out. I'm not worried about screwing up a track. With a little work it will still get caught. Not sayin we can catch every track but enough to keep happy. I will also keep a blog with pics and video of the dogs...pending my daughters put it on for their dumb dad.

Thanks for all the comments fellas. This is kind of a new deal but i hope that it works out and everyone is happy.

Take care, jason

I can't believe you haven't filled up. You guys need to send him some of your prospects, he will put them on a ton of game and get tothe bottom of them pretty quick for you. You will be money ahead doing this rather than spending a couple of weekends a month and taking a couple of year to see what you have.
This is a great guy to deal with and honest and a straight shooter. Give him a call you wont regret it.

I'm gonna take a $100 non refunadable deposit to hold a spot. I know how things are especially around Christmas time but i dont wanna turn down dogs and have someone back out at the last minute.

You can count 7 in whenever you have a spot for her.... She won't be doing any good in the kennel having the mrs. yell at her. Any month will work for me...

Bill, What about Drifter and Lacy? I was going to take them and put a 1995 Toyota with a shoeing box on it in their places, when I was down there

Easy Devon, I have to make sure I can do that stuff before I start thinking about equipment. LOL don't be thinking up anything crazy while you two are off enjoying the country next week.
