For those of you who has been lucky to never see a wolf kill
My heart goes out to Leon Robinson, of Enterpise WI. Him and Jiggs, run a lot of bear, as Leon is retired. They turned loose on a bait this morning, like he has for the last 30 years a mile from his house, 4 wolves came in on Jiggs,

sorry for your hound ,and you! im glad your showing this ,because people need to know what is going on . you can tell that this hound suffered terribly before it died just by the wounds. it wasnt killed outright then eaten . it was eaten alive until the poor hound couldnt take it anymore. its a good thing they havent been able to resurect t rex and velociraptors so they can reintroduce them too! cause its the same damn thing they have done reintroducing wolves . all the hard work the ol timers put into controlling them has been thrown out the window. wolves shouldnt be protected they should be nothing more than a big coyote .

Re: For those of you who has been lucky to never see a wolf
I am so sorry for the loss.
There needs to be some common ground here! If a pack of hounds killed 1 wolf, the owner would be charged out the ass and most likely go to jail! Yet at these wolf lovers and PETA whatever they call themselves don't care about a hound dying from the hands of a wolf, yet when a cull is culled you might as well be bright red, holding a pitchfork and wearing a Slayer tee-shirt!
Hmm... The 3-S's would be real handy in a time like this!

Re: For those of you who has been lucky to never see a wolf
sorry for the loss.
i know it would be hard but maybe we need to take the body of the mauled dogs and shove them in the faces of all the tree huggers so they can see what is really happening!
We lost wolf hunting thanks to the tree hugging judge in missoula, something about state lines not being a boundary for "endangered animals", I didnt see them relist the wolves in alaska. christ i dont know, i just dont like seeing all these hounds chewed up. sorry again for the lose. could only hope a couple tanker trucks full of ddt spilled!

My sympathies go out to him and his family. It must have been hard. Was his dog still alive after the attack? I f'in hate wolves. Especially some hybrid that not supposed to be there to begin with.

Sorry for the loss. Bad deal, it really sucks that he had to suffer that way!!!

Im sorry to hear about your loss hopefully the feds will finally realise they made a huge mistake with these wolves. They wont admit it till it hits them in the pocket book but its getting to that point. REVENGE is all I can say

Im gonna come rite out and say it. Shoot every last one of them things you see. I have been lucky that they haven't messed with the hounds too much even if we chased one just about every weekend of training season(obviously not on purpose), but we haven't lost a dog yet. This crap has been going on for too long and we have to take it in our own hands and stop waiting for the citiots to take the wolf off a pedestal.
Re: For those of you who has been lucky to never see a wolf
I feel you. I lost a good hound the same way last year while treeing a lion. I run a Airedale with the pack ever since. The thing of it is the wolf lovers don't care if your hunting dog was killed by a wolf. But as soon as the wolf come in town and kills there dog they would be the one that yells the loudest. Love them or hate them they are here. Another reason to get out, they have to be managed. Good hunting

Thats interesting, do you feel the airedale will really help if a pack come's in on your hounds?

I don't know what your theory is with the airedale, but mine would possibly be that the airedale might fight the wolves when they came in, and they would kill it first, hopefully giving some of the good hounds a chance to get away.

Here is the usda's answer,to wolves killing dogs in an area. Keep them on a leash, and in sight. The map is probably twenty five square miles of the most prime bear hunting in WI. And for the hunters, which own land, and have camps, for the last 50 years, the wolves have first rights to your land, and you need to hunt a different area, to keep you dogs safe, which were running out of, makes a man think about who really owns, what
I just checked, we have to add three more bear dogs to the list, since this post started a month ago, wow
