Re: RIP Burger
Very sorry to hear about your loss Mr. Hillbilly.
I've been looking forward to you post for quite a while since I really like your dogs and now this.... Hard thing to swollow, but as stated earlier in this tread, its a thing people running hounds have to keep in the back of their mind. I've been lucky enough to dodge this earlier, but have due to extreme conditions had a couple of very close calls lately, this have made me appriciate eatch day with my dogs even more.
Good to see you got out there and got it. I do believe, since you are running some dogs with more between their ears than what is common, it was very important for the dogs to go out and kill that cat.
So after the bad incident, you did the right thing. You and your family have good memories of Burger and lets see, maybee one of the others arises and picks up after Burger.

Re: RIP Burger
Your right Hans, those 1/2 breed dogs definately think diferrent. When Burger was killed Cookie his littermate came and found me. I wasn't happy as she left the youngest dog to stay with the lion until I got there. (which was on the ground) When I regouped Cookie went over and tried to play with Burger, barking and trying to get him to play. I have never seen this in a dog before. When we killed that lion yesterday she wooled that lion over like I had never seen out of her before. Those pups sure think different then my hoounds.
On another sad note I did not bred the mother this time like my wife suggested. I would have if I knew this was going to happen.
Thanks for the kind heart felt words everyone
