Looking to buy a good shocking system for my hounds. The current one I have is a hand-me-down that only works if you are within ~150 yards of the dog. Its ok for trash breaking but even that is limited.
Anyways, my main goal with a shocker is for trash breaking/prevention but I am thinking of using it for manners and leading as is discussed many times on this forum. Real interesting reading some of those posts.
Just wondering what system I should go for? I am not a rich rich man but I would spend some coin to have a good system that would last for years. As far as expandable collars, I generally only run 2-3 dogs at a time but that could always increase over the years I suppose.
Thanks for the tips.

I'm real happy with the tritronics trashbreaker, I'm not familiar with other systems which I'm sure work good also. Just be sure it has a tone option.
Re: Shocking System
I've used a variety of collars with both police dogs and hounds. Tritronics is the best on the market.

I have a sportdog 3200 which isn't made anymore now it's the 3225, mine doesn't have the tone option. I would really recommend the tone option it would be handy for a number of things the the sportdog is a good one for a guy on a fixed income

Re: Shocking System
Purchase the tritronics system. If a new system is not in your budget you can find them listed often in the classified section or check ebay.
