Re: saddle up
Mike, anytime we as houndsman or any sportsmen for that matter, are able to gain anything it certainly is a good day! But be careful it's sort of like a double-edged sword. I know when I first came to Arizona I thought it was the greatest thing to to be able to run year-round. I thought I was going to turn all of the hounds into robots, and the heat would never bother them. Well between the snakes and giving one of the hounds heatstroke the first year. I quickly learned, that there were no such thing as a robots and you had no control as to where the snakes would turn up. So have fun but be careful. Take care, Willy

Re: saddle up
Should start this year, don't know the exact date yet but i would guess it would be pretty soon July or August. Depredations not counting against the quota's passed as well and i think that will be put in place as soon as its signed.
Willy snakes are just part of life in this country, i had a dog bit at the house not a month ago. The heat is the bigger issue best hit a track early cuz them turd hounds don't last long in the heat. I wont hunt much until the rains come, when the monsoons come the higher country gets pretty darn nice for hunting. But it nice to be able to saddle up and take the dogs out anytime I want

My old excuse for not catching game was that it wasn't in season. I guess i'll need a new excuse now.

Mike,
Thanks for the info. Also,"Thanks" to all who made this happen. What a great opportunity. Don't know if you guys use snake vaccine shots. I have been using them for several years on my hounds and cowdogs and they really work well. Mostly have diamondbacks and prairie rattlers where I hunt.
As far as the heat I leave horseback way before daylight and always take a packhorse with enough water to last the dogs all day if we couldn't get back before noon. Good luck to everyone.

Are there 2 tags now, or just one?
And, by the way, what the heck are you doing on the computer, Cat?
