Our buddy in nevada does it. Depends on how you want your set up. if you just have a dog box along the cab your quad, snowmobile may fit on the rest of the bed. If you build a longer dog box and stout enough you can pull the quad up on top. if you do a box along the cab you could always put two front tires of the quad on top the box.

I have a chevy zr2 what i did was make my flatbed 6'3'' wide x 6'6'' long. I made 2 boxes that
haul 4 dogs apiece they are 2' wide x 2'tall and 6'6'' long. one is mounted on the drivers
side and one on the passanger side. there is also a2'3'' panle that goes between the 2 boxes
on top to make a rig platform. i'm left with a 2'3'' gap between the boxes witch I keep my
bait pales, rakes and tow straps in. this is the set up I use for bear hunting hard to haul a 4 wheeler or sled. but after bear season I drop the passanger side box and i have a 4'3''x6'6''
area witch will fit a 300 honda 4x4 or skidoo sled standard track a little track hangs of but not much. I also have a bar that goes throgth the skis and has a hand crank bolt for fast tie down of the sled. hopes this helps

On a tacoma you will find that you will break a lot of rear springs if you haul that much... i have tried and it works but its very hard on the truck. i use a dodge now. or a trailer behind the toyota...the first pic is a yota and you can put a quad behind the box or turn it and put a sled beside it but it was very hard on the yota.. the flat bed is 6ft by 6ft the box is 2ft by 6ft.. i just used a trailer after i tried it a couple times... the 3rd pic is my dodge and this works better but i also use a box like the toyota has and it works better yet. the dodge flat bed is 8ft by 80 inches, the box is 3ft by 6ft . i put the quad behind it or turn it sidways and put a sled beside it... iv found that i like just pulling a trailer behind any more, its much simpler to load the quad or sled
