Dale Lee "Life of the greatest guide"
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

I listened to the whole thing. It was super interesting to me, especially the part about the Jaguar calling. If I understood right there is a part two. Please post that one when possible.

I have that book and its a good one .I've always enjoyed reading about the Lee brothers and their hounds. They hunted what was probably the best of times for houndsmen, with their passing also comes the end of an age that can never be repeated ,only remembered. As long as men can still hunt with hounds the legacy of the Lee brothers will live on!

Re: Dale Lee "Life of the greatest guide"
I regret not making the trip down to Tucson to meet Dale when I had the chance...I hunted for many years with a man that hunted with the Lee Brothers and had the chance to meet another man that hunted for a few years also with my old friend....I was given a photo of Dale Lee and Geroge Pavey down in Mexico with five hanging skinned Jaguars...
George to this day has the original hollowed out gourd jaguar call used to locate Jaguars from boats cruising along the shore lines...Looks like a hard pumpkin with a small hole in the bottom with rosin horse tail for making the sound by slowly pulling the tail the full length....What a collectors piece! It has cigarette burns from the hand rolled smokes all over the outer shell...George has the 30-30 Dale was holding on the cover of full cry magazine back many years ago.
Below is an old photo given to me by the man that took the picture....I plan on having a larger framed one available at the bobcat hunters gathering for those interested....

This is great. So much history that I'd give anything to be able to see with my own eyes. Nice picture Mike, can't make the gathering because of work but that'd be sweet to have framed. Thanks for posting this audio
