Re: Favorite Spring Bear Bait
I personally use corn, mollasses and fryer grease from spring until fall. In the spring I put beavers out to if I can get them. Well, I'll put anything out that they will eat if I can get my hands on it but using corn and mollasses is the most convenient and cheapest way to do it for me.

Lawn clippings, no pesticides or herbicides. Fresh or turned to silage in a bucket. And anything else I can get my hands on.

Wow I learned something there! That surprised me. Grass clippings.JustinKeller wrote:Lawn clippings, no pesticides or herbicides. Fresh or turned to silage in a bucket. And anything else I can get my hands on.
Once years ago there was a recall on peanut butter. I had to take an entire 53’ semi trailer completely filled with peanut butter from a Walmart distribution center to the dump. It was agonizing thinking about all the bear hunters or other folks that would have loved to have it.
If you hear of any food recalls, look for ways to tap into that.
