A climber like that wouldn't last long in canyon country. Falling from height is a common way for a dog to die in this sport........ :roll:

That dog would take one run at a tree with a lion, jump up in there just in time for the cat to rip her mutt head to shreds...Lions and bears don't react the same as the soccer ball! haha

don't bet on that. read some writings from Roosevelt. a pack he hunted w/ included 3 terriers whose job was specifically to climb the tree and jump the cat/bear out. if the dogs couldn't reach the lowest limb the guide who owned the pack would put ONE in the lowest branches. the dog would then climb up and attack the cat/bear's face until it bailed or fell out to the pack below.
