Great Dane/Gascon Hounds For Sale

Hey I was just wondering if anybody would be interested in trying one of these puppies. I bred them on purpose. I have a Great Dane female who is my companion dog, she comes with me everywhere. When I started training my pups she was always there. We were shocked to see how agressive she was on a cage. She has tons of hunt in her and is extremely intelligent. She lacks however, some hound characteristics like she won't cold trail, and she won't stayed treed for a very long time if I'm not at the tree. She trees very hard if I am there. If the bear scent is fresh, or if they jump the bear she is quick and extremely gritty. I am hoping with this cross to breed some big, leggy hounds. Not sure what I am going to get it may take a few breedings to get what I want let me know if you are interested or even what you think.

Well I can tell ya this the Dane Ruled Africa as a All Purpose Dog/Hound for a 100 years..

They protected the Hunters at night from Lion Raids and Durring the Day they were used to track Wounded Dangerous Game . So with out a doubt at one Time they could hold their Ground as a "Big" Game Dog .. Their are alot of old African Jurnels with Ref. to their Use .. They were also used on Tiger in India after the Brits found how useful they were..

But these days they Seam to be More Fearful then Aggressive as they used to be.. But I'am sure their are some still that the Grit may show thru..

Hows the Gascon side bred?

Awhile back some Bluetick breeders did the same cross to get some heigth.
Not sure how the cross itself turned out, but the decendants got absorbed into the gene pool.
