One of my best mountain, ranch, and breeding horses was my stud Freckles Six Choice aka Pickles. He was Colonel Freckles bred on the topside and Doc Six and Triple Chick bred on the bottom. This picture was taken as a 2 year old in the Big Horns. I spent a week in the mountains with him and the hounds. This was only after 4 rides on him. I had him high lined picketed at night and would ride him all day in the wilderness. He had moose popping out if willows in front of him and never once boogered or offered to buck. He was one heck of a trooper and would go all day with no quit. Even though I was married to a farrier at the time this trip that colt went unshod and never once got sore footed in the mountain rocks. I would have to say he was one of the best I have ever had. Just an easy going, laid back, could do anything on him colt. He threw some really nice foals as well. I miss ol Pickles. Maybe one day I will find another like him. :)

mofo, we dont have the brain power to keep track of a stat like that.... we are a little slow around here.

farmman, if you've been around world champions there is no way you would know what a bunch of red necks would be doin with their horses. We just have to make them idiot proof so noone gets hurt when we do something stupid...whick happens more then not. I asked Poco to get on here and give his little spill but it might take him a few days and its kinda hard to explain....atleast for someone with my mental capacity.

o yeah thats what i mostly do. granted morgans are normally park horses or english pleasure or classic (english horses) but they also drive and basically do anything! the morgan is the most versitile breed there is in my opinion.

well thats cool. Any horse can be versatile just depends on the trainer. What morgans have won any big shows that are open to the world or who has ever used one in any rodeo event? still havent heard what world champion u have trained?

i have grown up ropin for a living dont know anyone that ropes on morgans sorry. I also have rode lots of cutters and have worked for lots of trainers that are world champions. Just not a big fan when someone says something to someone about how they train one just cause u are working for a trainer doesnt mean u have ever trained a world champion for anyone or anything. There is a thousand ways to skin a cat and at the end of the day if u get the cat skinned and it works for u thats all that matters!!

I just spent a good deal of time trying to look up these horses you named and was unable to find any info on any of them. Can you please send us some links to the horses or the name of the farm you train on or the name of the trainer you train for. You are right that there are some world champion reining horses but I was unable to find any in the events you named. Actually the events you listed didn't even show up on a search engine. I wouldn't have even said anything but I feel like I just wasted the last hour of my time looking up god damn morgans. It's time for some proof or an applogy Farmman. And if you do come through with proof I sincerely applogize in advance

"ive rode and trained world champions for years and ive never seen ridin a horse with a rope on back leg....can someone explain please?"

That is a pretty big statement why not just ask about the rope if thats all u wanted to know about? By that big statement u kinda made it sound like u are the head trainer or a world champion yourself. Just kinda rubbed me the wrong way im over it though!!
