I currently live in prospect Oregon and I know people who have hounds I think that odfw is trying to solve the cougar problem but unless they revote measure 18 and it is overturned then they can't do much and would those hippies rather have all the baby deer and elk killed or the lions. My grandfather loved to hunt bear and he has told me stories of back when he did but with the hippies complaining about everything we do it's almost hopeless to open the season up completely. They have videos if hounds tearing up bear and cougar cubs it is wrong how they use other peoples mistakes against the regular houndsmen.

I don't know how you all feel but this is what i think should happen. Issue tags but not a general season. Make it a draw if they are concerned about the harves percentage with the "un-fair" use of hounds or bait. I know that I would rather pay more than $16.00 for a tag if I could use my dogs here in Oregon insted of almost 500 in california. It would produce more revinue for the state to fund their projects and we wont have to cut another $600,000 check to contract hunters. We are the states best conservationist and sould not be punished. If they would let us "control" the population the way it should be, you wont have so many bitter guys out killing every lion they see. We need to get the population back in check if we want to keep things the way that they should be, ballanced! I am sure most of you would rather pay $100 for a tag and keep the money in our own state, and hunt at home, than keep things the way they are now. I feel the same goes with bear in Oregon. I have heard that the state has given out more kill permits to residents with a bear problem this year than ever before. (don't quote me on that, just what I have heard and cant find a way to prove it in writting) We need to keep fighting for our rights! It is 100x harder to get them back once they are taken away (as we all know now) but it can be done. the only bad thing is I think it will take alot of bloodshed, and I don't mean the animals, to prove to the liberals that the backwoods, hillbilly, redneck thinking is closer to the truth than they could ever imagine.
