when I trapped here in Ark. and it got down to 18 to 22 I bought most of my clothes from the salvation army ,if they got blood, mud are any thing I took them to town and washed them and when season was over I threw them away. you don't need to spend good money to romp around in the woods you don;t impress a bear with camo.

For me, it's all about fashion. The fact that all the other hunters are decked out in camo is reason enough to wear something else. I personally try to stay one step ahead of the fashion curve!

All I have to say on camo is.. Do you guys know how hard it is for a woman my size to get camo clothes? Cabela's clothing like for women start at a bigger size then I wear and the boys stuff is too short.. The trials and tribulations I go through to find a decent pair of camo pants to bow hunt in is ridiculous
The heck with camo LOL Gimme carhart clothing anyday

I worry a lot more

about what my hound is wearing than what I am wearing. My main requirements for myself is that its comfortable, has enough layers to take one or two off when I get hot from running around, and that there are enough pockets and stuff to carry what I need. Plus, being a girl, overalls are too difficult to get out of when you need to pee. I figure that any bear or coon that can't hear and smell me lumbering through the woods long before it sees me is already half dead. In honor of NY tradition, which doesn't reuire blaze orange, I try to wear at least something red. And I kinda like to wear a few rhinestones when I'm hunting at night, but then I'm a rhinestone kinda girl any time of day.

With 1/2 dozen dogs screaming in the face of the game. there isn't a great need of camo to sneek up on the quarrie.

In Good old Ontario a hunter is required to wear blaze orange WHEN HUNTING ... other than bow hunting ... So a hound guy really should have it on or may be fined ..
I never heard of a houndsmen being fined for not wearing orange but I believe the ministry could fine you .
But I believe in what Cab said :: with all the dogs it is not a sneak in situation... The orange is to help other other hunters see you , So Camo is not allowed

I don't wear my camo out in the woods, it will get all beat up and not work as good. I save it for when my wife is looking for me to get some chores done around the house.
