Here are those statements I was talking about before that have stuck in my mind.
- You need to have the mule's trust before it will be a safe mule for you.
- When using and training a mule, the number one rule is to take new things slow so that no one gets hurt, not you, not the mule, not ever.
- Training a mule is like cooking a frog, you put him in the pot in cold water and you turn up the heat very slowly and he'll stay in the pot until he's thoroughly cooked. If you put him in hot water at the beginning, he'll jump out of the pot.
