Paul.. I order the pre-loaded chip from upco.com It is just like giving a shot.. Seriously.. We have done 5 at home and not one dog even acted like it happened.. Just make sure when you give it and let the skin down it will be sitting between it's shoulder blades...

I should ad, it about 12.00 for the chip and then about anther 17.00 to register them... But it costs extra to register them from the vet's also..

Thanks Ladycathunter. I went on the website and checked it out. Also found AVID's web site. According to what I've read. Homeagain that you gave me and AVID are the two chips to look at that Vets, shelters, etc can read with a universal scanner. I registered on the AVID site so when I get my password I'll check it out and pass on what I've learned from them. Seems like something that's worth the cost for sure. Thank you much. Paul Conway.
