Not many of them have come this way Tim but I have chaces a couple up your way, and the one the way he was traveling several days ago I wouldn't be surprized if Spanky doesn't catch him in old Montan in a couple more days. LOL!


You mentioned the sight trailing dog. Let's discuss this a bit in another post.

Ya i Agree on that. When the sun comes out and warms up the scent starts to go. I was walking a rim in early season this year and cut an old track. I could see it in the mud and what little snow there was and it was melted out. my dogs struck it but could only run it a hundred yards then have to really slow down and work the rocks. The track was to old to run but they finally moved to the snowy canyon and moved it a long ways till they hit the some huge ledges about two miles off and they were some narly ledges to. I couldn't believe it but i ended up jumping the lion there. I started the cat at eight and finally caught her at three in the afternoon. The melting out tracks take lots of time and some good ol dogs.
