Just out of curiosity, were any of you guys that experienced these problems feeding your pups some brand of LARGE BREED PUPPY FOOD. A lot of people say that you should feed it for the first year or so, as it is supposed to prevent the pups from growing to fast and the problems that go with it. Didn't know if it was supposed to prevent rickets or not. Just curious what you guys thought?

I had the same thing happen to my kelpie/bluetick cross. His legs were pretty bad for a couple of weeks he didn't even want to run around as much as my other pup. I almost culled him but talked to my buddy who has been hound dogging for 30+ years and he told me to feed the dog less and mix half of his food with regular dog food. That was the ticket for me. This was a couple months ago and i am sure glad i have this pup around now.
