I have shipped pups by air, and with dog haulers. Small pups, usually cheaper by air. I use Delta, out of Mpls/Stpaul. MN. If you can get the shipper to get a crate from Walmart, or other store, instead of the airline, you can save quite a bit. I usually have my wife and daughter pick them up at yard sales. two pups will usually fit in a medium size crate. Grown dogs usually go with the hauler.

I THINK YOU COULD BE EXPOSING YOUR PUP TO SOME REAL DISEASE PROBLEMS LIKE DISTEMPER OR PRVO. THERE IS AN AGE FACTOR WITH PARVO AND THEIR ABILITY TO BUILD AN IMMUNITY AT A YOUNG AGE EVEN WITH SHOTS. AT THE SAME TIME AN ADULT DOG COULD BE A CARRIER BUT NOT EXHIBITING SYMPTOMS

SHIPPING DOGS WITH A DOG HAULER IS A LITTLE LIKE HAVING CATTLE BROUGHT IN ON SOME CATTLE DEALERS TRUCK. YOU COULD WIND UP WITH SOME DISEASE YOU DON'T WANT FROM ANYONE OF 500 DIFFERENT FARMS.
