Thank you all for your replies. I think i will try and get a dog or two goin this winter and see how it goes. I will be upfront and honest about everything and if the dog or dogs turn out to be a cull then ill take care of it. Im not looking to just get rid of dogs, i want to TRY to recoupe some hunting expenses and if i can pay for some of the costs to hunt by selling a started dog or two then that would be great. This sport is turning into a rich mans game and i put every single extra penny i have into my hunting and my dogs (like most im sure)........ Makes a guy wonder why on earth he still does it sometimes but, i wouldnt trade it for any other type of lifestyle! Thanks again guys, Take care.

theres nothing worse than a pissed of monkey on your back.that could replace a good shocking system as long as you didnt have a trashy monkey .he is right there to slap the dog up side the head when it trashes. :)

Jockey; In the 16th and 17th centuries the word was applied to horse-dealers, postilions, itinerant minstrels and vagabonds, and thus frequently bore the meaning of a cunning trickster, a "sharp", whence the verb to jockey, "to outwit", or "to do" a person out of something. The current usage which means a person who rides a horse in races was first seen in 1670.

I am guessing most people think of a dog jockey being a trickster would be a long word for the prefered four letter one used. LOL In all seriousness Marshal, it sounds like you are going to be a dog trainer not a dog jockey. To me, and most I believe, would feel a dog jockey is someone who gets a dog and invest little if not nothing into it and tries to turn around and make a profit, mostly by providing false or misleading information to potential buyers. Someone like yourself I would personaly consider a dog trainer. You purchase a dog and then invest time/training, money for care, teach it kennel manners, loading, kenneling, running drags and putting it on game. After months or maybe years the dog is made available for sale. I don't think I would call you a dog jockey if you sold a 100 dogs per year if you were doing that. Casey

Shawn Hendricks also know as Shawn Candace use to live in Red Lodge Mt then moved to Great Falls My, now lives in Klamath Falls Oregon called me begging for a pup trainer from me I said $2500 is the price on her. He said he had a 5 year old male who was a finish lion and Bear dog to trade I said I might be able to use him but will wanna trial the dog , so we made plans to trial both dogs, day before we meet he says I culled the dog, I said ok , he says I have this 18 month old female who is a no need for help cat catching SOB and he doesn't have anything that can keep up with her. Well she is in fact a catching son of a bitch, she will flat run and catch a deer like no other hound. Put her on a fresh lion track my dogs leave the road and catch the cat she takes off down the road to find a deer and catches it. I call him and say I want my dog back he says she had bad teeth and he has $900 into her I said perfect send me a bill and I will confirm with vet , no bill shows. I said Shawn I want my dog back he says you come to my house I am calling the sheriff. I proceed to find a hauler to pick her up . he calls the sheriff and says I am harassing him. At this point I decided this Dog Jockey worthless white piece of humane trash is going to pay one way or another. I took his deer catcher to the pound because he is one of those tough guy type on the phone but won't meet you face to face to deal with the problem like a grown man would. I wana make sure this CULL. Doesn't rip another Houndsmen off. I am out a $2500 dog and he is making dogs off me to sell to someone else. That's my 2 cents on a Dog Jockey!
