goodwin, iv been hunting hounds for 28 years been around alot of of dogs and hound guys, a box with a divider is no good, my way o thinking is if my dogs dont get along in the dog box. what will happen wene you get a tree that takes you awhile to get to and a fight brakes out. You caint get there in time and by the time you do a dog is tore up and our dead. one o the best cat dogs i ever owned was culled becouse he was mean. I know your young but man let me tell ya i your dog dont get along in the box with males its a mater of time and he will be streched at a tree and our will help stretch a dog at a tree. please dont take heart to this im just trying to give ya some advice.

I'll say, though, I do like a divider in a box for a few scenarios...

I pick up someone elses dog on the highway and I need to bring them out of the woods to call....

A female comes into heat in camp and I want her completely separate.....

Interesting.... Fighting is not to be Tolerated Accepted or Excused for ANY reason whatsoever. Either on the chain, in the box, or anywhere else for that matter. At least that is how it was taught to me by guys who had learned the hard way about long trees, long rides in the box and baisic growly, mean, POS dogs.
On the other hand i have a divider in my box for lots of reasons, for those times when my better half just wont shut up.... i just crawl up in one half of the box and let her drive home
It also gives me a place to put tools and luggage in inclement weather.

Another thing to think about concerning your male(s) that won't get along.
If they are "fighting" in the dog box or any other location where you should be the one in control, clearly you aren't in control.
It is bad enough to worry about a cull causing a fight at the tree when you aren't in control because you are a long way off. I don't care if he is the one that put the game in the tree, if I have to worry about him fighting at the tree, he is a cull.
But if you have dogs fussing in the dog box, in the pen at home, etc. (and this is not just a male dog thing): it is because you are allowing the behavior. Next time the one starts that crap up, start dragging them out of the box and give them something to worry about other than the other dogs. If they aren't completely stupid they will get the message that you are who they should be worried about.
Its called manners and most dogs and kids don't inherit them, they are taught by the guy in control.
My border collie even rides with them if I need her to, she may not like it, but after a few discussions even she came to the understanding it doesn't matter what she likes.
I have dividers in my boxes for all the reasons stated above, but I sure won't tolarate having to separate dogs. They ride with whoever happens to be with them on that side by chance.

Hey kid IDK how old you are, not trying to sound like a know it all but i have learned
to shut ur mouth and open ur ears, other houndsmen that have been doing this for years
have a pretty good idea of what their talking about, well most of them.so just listen to them and learn something, but the divider is the least of ur worries, they make shock systems if i were you i would get one, on my truck i just used the 6 holes in the bed of my truck and then just made a cove over the bed of my truck
