Brooke is a joy to hunt, she does have a limited tolerance to younger dogs playing around with her (especially at the tree) She is a typical Cameron hound, cold nose, bawl on track bawl on tree, of note the one female pup we still have from her last litter has a chop on tree ( actually won a treeing completion with her this yr). She is a pretty a blue tick you will see. She will not leave a tree but I would only call her a ok tree dog. This is one of the traits crossing with spanky I want to improve on. I have 4 pups listed for sale in the classifieds plus the one I donated to a houndsmen that was hurt and that will be it for a while on the spanky pups. I do have 2 more breedings but these pups will be crossed with a Cameron male then at that time I will evaluate and may use spanky again or breed back to a Cameron. Of course that is yrs down the road. I do have people interested but no for sures yet. I do have some sold that were spoken for long before this breeding took place. If any one is interested I would pm sooner than later or I will be paying some buddies south of the border to hunt these dogs. The pups are 13 days old all are doing good, all have their eyes open and its to soon to tell but it looks like most pups will be dark like the camerons. Thanks for all your interest and I will say it again it's not cheap to get in to genetics and its not cheap to get in to spanky blood. I know this is a lot for a pup but if I found spanky cross Cameron pups for a $1000 I would be buying 2 or 3 its a lot cheaper than doing it youself lol

Good question Alex, I had to make a couple of calls to get that answer. The male pup is a truck to tree lion dog, my buddy told me he would stand on tree for like a half hour before he moved off it only to go back there, for hrs and hrs on end. Now the bad, he was tree possessive and to the point where he would fight other dogs so my buddy sold him to a guy that was only going to hunt one dog and he has not talked to him since. Brooke has showed no tree fighting at all but we all know that's a typical Cameron trait.

Thanks for posting all of those pictures Chancer. Have any of her pups shown any inclination to be possessive or growly? What is the background on the other two hounds you have from Del?

Alex no there has been no tree issues with her other pups, the other 2 females from Del basically show the same pedigree as Brooke, Slash being the Sire and different dams, his program is so tightly bred that now a days it might have a different dam but after that its all the same dogs.

All pups are spoken for, for those that were still interested, on the general forum you can still bid on that one, plus its a great cause

Cobalt, pups are doing awesome. They will be 6 weeks old on Friday and will be pulling Brooke at that time. They have been wormed and got their first set of shots today. They socialize well and so far I could not be happier with them. Thanks for the interest.
