Southern fox that goes back to where u hunt and how u have to adapt to what your dealing with.where I live is a hole different ball game on fox and cat.we can still have a hard cat that can make a guy scratch his head but our fox can run tricky patterns in a thousand acres or so at a faster pace and we learn here to acomadate our hunting I've run fox with 8 good dogs all night and at times I thought I was going to catch him on the ground any minute but had the race end with him getting away.i agree with u if they can get him stinking he's pretty much had at some point but here u can't count your chickens before there hatched cause theres always one around the corner that will gladly hand u your ass. It sounds like a cat can be extremely difficult to catch there where u live but all I am saying is there are other challenges in the world that are as equally difficult in other ways for hounds to achieve. Any way lets get back to sharing hunts and good dogs after all who really cares were all having a good time with what we do
