I always tease Dave and ask him why he wasted Teaks talent on bear, when any man could see he was a top notch varmint dog. I've seen Teak strike bear out of the box at 60 mph and the track was nowhere near the road. He had a hell of a nose and knew how to use it. He was a dog that needed no help and proved it many, many times. I'd say teak was responsible for the treeing of hundreds of bear and lion.
Flash is a very special dog, too. I would say one of the very best females of any breed I've ever been around in ALL catagories, nose, speed, tough, locate, stay, strike on bear and bobcat and a personality second to none. Flash is a one dog wrecking crew on bobcat and bear.
There's no need to spend a ton of money feeding a pile of dogs when all one needs is a couple of real dogs.
