Are you sure the previous owner was even a houndman ? There are lots of people out there who hate hounds and the guys and gals who hunt them.Also as JTG remarked i've seen pups born so timid and crazy shy that you couldn't possibly train them.Whatever the problem is hopefully you can bring him out of it.
