Dean, I have a spayed female, cut male & intact male, suspect they bark while in pen because they used to be able to have the run of the place when they let out of kennels for exercise, spoiled. Very rarely do they bark when they are kenneled at night, they do let us know when they want to be be allowed in the fenced area in the early morning. I have fox, coon & bear that have eaten the apples from the small orchard very near the kennels. Actually had five bear using the orchard couple years ago. Noticed, young dogs barking at night, older dogs just ignored the bear. Deer are in the orchard some days & most every nights all seem to ignore the deer. Notice most barking in fenced area is when dogs run & play. Al
