Thank you to each and every one who has given me comments, suggestions, and encouragement. I have carefully considered each thought from you all. Even doing this was taken from a suggestion for audio.

Basically, I don’t know what I am doing. But like the saying goes “do something even if it’s wrong.” So here we go. I will be trying a suggestion or two and if that doesn’t work, will try something else. Maybe with your help it will lead to enough interest in the book to make another printing worthwhile. Just going there and pushing the thumb up button is helping because You Tube is moving it higher up in the search function just because of you guys doing that.

cfanno01 wrote:I appreciate the effort you are putting forth. I listened for about ten minutes because that's all I had time for, but I enjoyed it and am going to continue listening as I get free time. I do think short segments would be easier for people to listen in full, then go to the next one when time allows, instead of trying to remember where they left off. Thanks again
This is one of the things I want to experiment with. I am learning I can group the book readings in a “playlist”.
Then anyone can open the playlist and switch on the auto-play button and the video/readings will continue to play in order beginning with the section the person selects. My goal at the moment is to post a new one every Monday morning and every Friday evening before the sun goes down. I will give that a try this week and see if I can keep up with that.

Thanks again everyone.

If you know someone that would enjoy this, copy the You Tube video link and text it to them or tell them about it.

I listened to the whole thing, I didn't look at the pages. I look forward to more! I thought the length is fine. Its not hard to hit pause and pick back up later for those that want it shorter.

The second reading is up. It is 12 minutes and finishes up the “Why” section. If you watch it let me know if you would rather I do not make commentary on any of it, and stay strictly with the text of the book??

I am also trying to figure out how it all works.
Did anyone who subscribed receive notification that the new one is up?

I am hoping the print is large enough to read this time. It looks kind of like it was an old rolled up scroll. I am trying to decide if I like that. But I am not sure how to change it yet.

I liked the commentary. I liked seeing your dogs/pups also. I am grateful that you are taking time to make the videos for all of us. I guess I never thought about the genetics passed down for hunting but it's been past down in my family for generations now. Your 1st, 2 chapters have made me reflect on my own passion for the "why".

I did not get a notification but you got another 2thumbs up from me. The print was easier to read this time.

I think if it was just a black screen and you narrating it would be great. So anything more than that is appreciated. Thanks again

I should explain that the pups don’t belong to me. But I am proud of them, and couldn’t resist the chance to show them off. I am raising them for other hunters. The fathers are in Mississippi. The mothers are in other states. A couple of the pups are already in Virginia.

I don’t hunt bobcat any more. If I did I would not have the time to be figuring out YouTube. I have learned either I have the money to cat hunt while not having the time to hunt and train dogs properly, or I have the time to do it and can not afford it. I rarely have both money and time at once, and the money leaves rapidly if I cat hunt.

I will make a note about the pups in the video description,(which I finally figured out you can read by clicking a tiny down arrow on the right that I never even noticed was there. Amazing discoveries. Lol). Another discovery I made is when I subscribe to a Channel there is a little bell icon, and I have to click that to receive the notifications/ or not? Seems like I get some notifications from stuff I did not even subscribe to???

Thanks for the feed back.

I like the commentary also. I read along as you narrate and this one is much easier to read. Thanks again for your time and effort. Pictures are great.

Hey David you should put your video of Everything I Have with the book section. I really enjoyed that. I always have to go to the old link to find it.

David, Fantastic, even better by far than the first one, especially with those excellent puppy training clips. Will definitely be trying that with the next litter. Thanks a bunch. I'm subscribed so the notification came up in my email. Do hope you will be paid some how for doing all this and if not Please let us know how and where we can pitch in on some gas money in case you're genetic code is calling, sure looks like you've got some good dogs to play with.

I posted this and then took it down so only people with this link can see it.
I realized it is mostly for you guys on BGH

If you think the public should be able to see it, let me know. It is easy to re-post

I will come back here when The sun goes down and try to respond to the above posts.

Make it public .. I think people need to hear it .. Oh questioning the youtube algorithm lol
very complicated ... but being in a very small niche because of title and description you will rank high in the search engine I believe. Tags thumbnail and first paragraph in the description are most important.

I think we need to keep sharing the good things about our sport .. the love we have for the hounds, the respect we have for the game we pursue, the emphasis on conservation, how challenging it can be and the adventure involved ..

This is what I wrote on my community tab on my channel:
David wrote a book years ago about hunting bobcats. The book is out of print so he had a great idea to read it and show the pictures on YouTube. This a great book and him reading it himself just makes it better. David has been there and done it when it comes to hounds and hunting cats even living in a tent so he could hunt more. So if you want some good content to listen too or watch go on over to his channel and watch and subscribe. Thanks!

That sounds really good. The only part that doesn’t work for me is the wife thing. Tried that once. I am a little gun shy, but have been Keeping my eye out for the right woman for about 25 years. It’s even harder than finding the right dog. The good ones are still married, and I never really liked the girls that had a career.
