This dog looks like some of the pups Richard Hays was selling.I had one hunted good just had some bad habits like rolling in every pile of people crap it could find.otherwise I would still have her . Richards been catching some cats with those dogs this winter. Not familiure with the plot male. The female was a dog named Dixie out Of a dog named Scat ,Curt Preston used to catch a lot of cat with.I think.I dont have Richards # but could get it if you want. Larry

Thanks Larry for the reply. I haven't been able to get him out yet because it's nothing but rain here. He definately catches on good as far as minding--better then my other older dogs! I know he's been on some trees. I think the owner just was new to hound hunting and took on a pup he wished would train itself FAST? I'll never understand why people get pups when they want 'finished' hounds? Then no patience to work it out...
I semi know his age but was trying to find out a little more. If you could get that number for me I would appreciate it. He's a good pup even if I did not keep him, he could be good for someone. I'm getting pretty attatched to him though so who knows? I may have just gotten lucky and got a 'keeper'!
Thanks again!
Darla

I didn't quite understand your reply yota. But ya the trials are fun and the Craddocks are really awesome people.
And Joes the only thing I know why he wanted to get rid of this pup is because he did not have time for him. Haven't been able to get him out myself yet but may be new snow here this week and hopefully by the weekend. He's smart and loyal and I know he's been under a few trees this winter so we'll see. I didn't plan to keep him but he's adapted so well and so smart I want to give him a try. I'll let ya know.

There are no more field trials in Butte Falls and those guys are out of dogs now... That last one kinda broke everyone off for a while...
