Exceed is far and away the best product out there. I believe(not sure) that it is only labeled for cattle, but it is a great antibiotic for dogs. One shot lasts for 5 days so even though it is a shot, it is not a hassle. You will have to get a prescription for it, but if your vet is any good you will not have to take the dog in to get the prescription. Most of the large animal vets will sell it to you if you just walk in and tell them you want a 50 ml bottle(if I remember right that is enough to medicate your dog for about 500 days) of exceed, at least they do for me. If your current vet won't do that, I would start looking for another vet.

Nitrofurazone(the fura zone pat-kemp mentioned) is also a great product, but you want to be a little careful with it, if it gets into your nervous system, it will absolutely ruin your life.

cephalexin and amoxacilllin are also good products, but since exceed came out, they are definately not the best.

You can but injectable Pen G any were, Feed stores have it, but it has to refridgerated. I carry LA200 in my med pack, if dogs get cut by hogs, I give them that right off the bat. You can ask your vet, and most will right you a prescription for antibiotics so you can fill them from a company online for cheap. But LA200 is a gram positive and gram negitive antibiotic, Pen G is a broad spectrum antibiotic too.
