Mac, Ike has a long history on these boards. He's been removed from some boards and some people say (not me) that he has a bit of a tendency to, lets say, embelish his stories a bit or leave out some facts. I've never met him but I do enjoy reading his posts. Like I said, he's entertaining and I think he does take it all in stride.

Dean,
If I had your diplomacy skills I'd probably have a few more friends... and not have to change the route I drive home every night!
Say, you didn't happen to be the White House spokesman during the Clinton years did you?

Well Ike , I can now say for sure that I know of 2 things you are very good at.In fact, I would say legend status in both.
One is your photography.I have seen a ton of excellent photos you have taken. The cover of Full Cry photo from a few years ago was an awesome picture. You sure do a great job when it comes to action photos.
The other thing is helping to develop a universal language that all houndsmen ,nationwide , can use when talking to each other. Kind of like the Navaho Code talkers in WW2.
First it was the "looked at 11 bears " quote which ,when translated, means no luck, got our butts handed to us,dogs didnt do crap, etc ....
The new phrase now being used is "and away they went and that was that " Sure to someday be a classic.I talked to a buddy in Vermont tonight.I asked how they did training today. He said , and this is gospel, "we had a hard strike, dumped the tailgate, away they went and that was that" I said did you get a tree ? He said no, they ran a moose for 4 hours !! I about busted a gut laughing.he caught me offguard with that one. So I guess you can put moose in the place of elk and still have the same meaning, trash run !!!

Ike, why did you edit your post and delete what you said above?

I'm sure a lot of guys would like to have read that. We could have added it to your other classics.

Wow dont know about anyone else but to me this seems ya'll are bunch of jackasses that cant get over somethin. I dont know any of you personally but to me it seems like a guy made an unclear statement and the rest of you decided your day was shity and decided to low blow someone else. Its also pretty inconsiderate and down right rude to high jack someones post especially when he was thanking someone for getting him into this sport. Dont forget its the younger generation that will keep this sport alive Sorry mac didn't mean to ruin your post those are just feelings about the crap thats been said. And ike i enjoy your posts and your pics as well keep em comin.
Theres my two cents.
