I guedd my question is the guy who is giving the most info on both dog has'nt even hunted with eithrt of them so how can you form an opinion based of what some one says. I was told that topper could reproduce better than what he was and is. by the guys who hunted him.

coldnosed, what you said is very true, what I said in my post is ( Topper Again is not the perfect hound and I have never told anyone he is. What he is is a biggame hound that is a very outstanding reproducer of biggame hounds) When I did my research on him, that was what I was told numerous times and that is why he is at my kennel. Yes he can catch game and do it very well, is he perfect no but above average yes. I didnt buy him to catch game (bobcats) for me as the dogs I have can already do that and do it very well. I bought him because of his ability to REPRODUCE top biggame hounds and that he can do without me telling anyone just ask the majority on houndsmen that are hunting his offspring. later Andy

Andy I know topper has the ability to reproduce to what I belive to be better hounds than what he is.And if he is what you after than by all means go with it I have been in hounds a long time what I really bothers me is that a guy may like a hound and another bashes the s..t out of it but over the course of time we should all be working for the same goal yet houndsmen in general cant get along with anyone we fight over areas and dogs you dont find elk hunters that bash each other the houndsmen do.
