I HAVE A LITER OF 7 OUT OF MY SMALL B&T FEMALE AND MY 90+LB BUCKSKIN MAJESTIC, NAME IS BOOMER AND HE'S CALLED THAT FOR ONE REASON. THREE ARE B&T AND 4 ARE CARMEL WITH SOME BLACK THAT MAY GO BRINDLE. THEY'LL BE 5 WEEKS ON 9-29 AND ARE THE BIGGEST PUPS I'VE HAD AT THIS AGE. HOUNDY AND LOUD IS FOR SURE AND BOTH PARENTS ARE AWSOME FOR ME ON BEAR AND LION.

You say Sage top and bottom, was this Sage bred to his own daughter or was this 1/2 bro x 1/2 sis cross? Sage was a son of Savage Blue. Savage Blue sired many greats, some are still in Del's kennel. Others are my own Cosa and Bundricks Blue Man. I am linebreeding one family line on Sage right now and I am 3 generations down from Del. They are great bobcat dogs. I used to own Filly and her aunt Freckles, they passed away in my kennel. Along with some John Roberts and Don Crowder stuff, they were the last of the last - Sugar Creeks in the US. Anybody with that blood should get together on a breeding program before it is diluted any further. Filly was a tremendous treedog with the coldest nose I have ever seen on a bluetick. She was 27" tall and weighed 115 lbs in running shape. One of her sons I kept is 28 1/2" tall and 120 lbs. The vast majority bred like this made outstanding biggame hounds.

Buck, I never got a real good one of Filly, but have some that you can get a good idea from. As for her son Ben, I have it on my list to stack him up for a portrait. I think I will start a thread on my Sugar Creeks so guys can get an idea. They get bigger. I have seen some that were 31 inches.

Brindle, I'd say it is one of the alltime great crosses. How about you? I started mine at 16 weeks. They all have a hell of a nose and are easy to handle. As luck would have it, I am breeding Filly's son Ben, to Freckles daughter Dice, in November but 6 pups are all already booked from this litter.

FYI - If that Nellie was a full Cameron, then what you have is 3/4 Cameron and 3/16 Sugar Creek, as Filly was only 3/4 SC herself, with some old Smokey River and Ozark Mountain.

I got one pretty big bawl mouth blue dog out of Van Johnsons stuff. He is big and ugly but has lots of grit and a cold nose. I named him baby cause when he bawls it sounds like a big old baby crying.
