I was looking at a Kenetrex cowboy packer the other day. Was wondering how good of boot they were? Tell us more about your experieces with Kenetrex.

I have had the same experience with Danners as everyone else. Stiching on sole came apart and had to buy a lot bigger size than I normaly do. I have had a pair of Danners as long as I can remember. But I am willing to try new things.

Schnees makes a good boot the leather, liner, and sole is top quality. The only problem I have had with them is the rubber cracking out on top of the boot where your foot flexes. Thank goodness for rubber patches. :D The best thing about these boots is they are light. You can do some hiking without the feeling of ankle weights.

I have always been a fan of danners until lately. I had my first pair about ten years ago, can't remeber the model they were all cordura. But they were the best boots ever. I have had about six pair of pronghorns that started leaking after about 4-6 months. the pair i have now shrunk severley and the liner bunched up in the toe

I use danners for work and hunting. I think the boots that are made in the USA are great, the boots that are made in china are garbage. The differance 100 -200 dollars more for the boots made in the USA.

So I am a timber faller and wear my Danner Pronghorns for 6-7 hrs a day all year long. I dont think that you can get a boot for under 200 bucks that will do the job that they will. You just have to expect that at some point the gore-tex will wear out and the stitching will bust. I will take that any day when there is only 1.5 lbs including corks on each foot.

Danners are junk for hard use. Their soles are glued on and after getting wet and then dried they seperate. I fight fire for a living and the best boot I have ever bought are Whites. You pay more, around 400.00 for them, but they last and they are rebuildable. The only downfall is they usually arent totally waterproof. However they have some new models that are. They will have you measure your foot with a template and send it in to them, so they make the boot for your foot. They are a little heavy and can be hard to break in but last forever. Made in America, and they use metal screws to attach the soles, as well as stitching.

on my 5th pair of super rainforests in 12 years wear them for work every day and when i go hunting. I have had great luck with these boots as long as you keep the leather treated, otherwise the stitching can tear. i like the lace to toe style very comfortable to wear. that being said the warranty isn't what it use to be. nun the less still a good boot.

i musta got an american pair because i love my pronghorn's. tried many boots over the years and finally bought a pair of pronghorns and there just like wearing a pair of comfortable tennis shoes. no weight much and very comfortable. the only complaints i have is they seem to get ''damp'' if your in alot of snow or water on all day trips.. seems like they soak in alot of dampness. also there not the greatest on wet rocks. but more than likely ill try another pair. just hope they aint chinese made!

White makes a good hand made custom boot. You have to draw around your foot on paper and take some measurements and send to them. Reasonable price too.

I had several pairs of Elk Hunters but the stitching would bust open. I had bought them from Cabel's and they replaced them 2 times free of charge. The 3rd time they up graded me to the Raptor with no extra expense. I really like the boots but one boot is now leaking.

Had a pair of Pronghorns. They were awesome. I loved how they were a boot and had support like a boot but peformed like a sneaker. However they didn't hold up like I would have liked.

I bought a pair of whites 2 years ago and they are the highest quality boot I have owned. Like said previously they took a bit to break in and are pretty heavy. However the ankle support and duribility is amazing.
