Well thats good to hear of the people i have talked to up here not many drew a permit so i was just curious to see if ya heard of anybody you knew got one.

that lives in the Yaak valley named Rick Bass. He is not a houndsman, but he is a bird dog guy and writes beautifully. He is pro-wolf and some of the things he says can get a houndsman's back up. If you stay away from the wolf books, you might enjoy reading some of the others, especially The Book of Yaak (1996) and the tribute to one of his bird dogs, Colter. The Book of Yaak portrays some of those characters that live up that valley.
