Thank you getgone for recognizing our veterans,We owe the men and women veterans much appreciation for our freedoms. Yes without them our ability to practice free speech on this forum might not be possible. I dont think anyone on here is purposely trying to hurt anyone we must all work together as houndsmen. But getting back to the original question, of who has the best northwest catdogs. Jimmy you mentioned that your friend has some really good cat dogs. I was looking for a line of dogs to get some dogs out of or purchase a dog out of cat dog breeding. Could you tell me exactly what the breeding is on the top and bottom of your friends Gambler dog he sounds like he might be a good one.

hope,
you can pm me! it seems here, that someone is upset and i dont really want to cause problems. or you may call me at (541)672-4489. i also posted my number for others that would like to talk to me. like i said before i hunt to have fun. drama sucks and if you cant have fun hunting than why do it?
getgone,
i want to tell you thank you, for appreciating those of us who have served, and that it was an honor to do so. i cherish my rights and yours just as much as you do! remember, just because someone has certain feelings and beliefs, doesn't mean that the next person has to have the same ones. i was purely speaking from my own personal experiences and everyone has to make their own decision! I AM NOT A SPINELESS JELLYFISH THAT IS GOING TO SIT THERE WHILE SOMEONE TALKS S... ABOUT ME! sorry but that's not me! i am the type of guy who is polite, but when the truth needs said, i'm going to say it, that's it! and if he has a problem with me he knows how to get ahold of me, by phone, and he knows where i live!
back to the topic at hand,
another dog i would like to recognize is AMY, this dog loved to cold trail and could figure out a backwards track that others had, and turn it around and take the rest of the pack with her. also a good locate and tree dog. i seen this dog on hundreds of cats personally. if it got jumped you could count your chickens before they hatched if you know what i mean. other people who hunt in douglas county, that have hunted with this dog will tell you the same thing!
and by the way i mentioned this dog because it needed mentioned! not because of anything else!
TO ALL THAT KNOW ME OR HAVE MET ME: if you think that i am wrong in any way shape of form let me know. i haven't said anything that wasn't the truth!

Hey Hope, and getgone, the breeding on that gambler dog of chris browns actually goes back to Tim Pickets dogs on one side and the other side is out of some running dogs. I have hunted with tims dogs as much as anyone and let me tell you what a guy could look a lifetime to find dogs that perform and put up cats the way they do and still not find any. They are not hide dogs that sneek off and tree something by pure surprise .They are cold trailing, open mouth, track driving, smart tree dogs. There are many guys hunting dogs out of his line. I would highly recommend getting some of his dogs if you can get your hands on them.
Moderator EDIT: Brian Souza and Hope, and Dakoda are all the same account and same person. Both have been Banned.

Agreed,,,, Bryon
I've heard from a very reliable source that if the guys that are shit-mouthing Tim the loudest would be honest,,, you'd find that most of their "Cat Dogs" came from Tim's yard...
Jimmy

,,,, Since you were so quick to graciously accept the praise for keeping us safe in our beds at night... I wonder if you'd mind telling us which Combat Unit you were attached to over in the Sandbox....
Carefull,,,, I have a young friend that just returned from his sixth tour and can verify your answer...
Ya see JIMMY,,,,,,,, Like I said in my first post,, " I treat folks exactly like they treat me reguardless of idle gossip... And I haven't forgotten how you and a few of your butt buddies (everyone knows how internet tough guys like to pile on) treated me when I was new here and made an honest effort to help a fellow that ask for help...
I'm also old and crankey and hold a grudge just about forever...
I'm just as adamint about loyalty to my friends,,, And like I also said "I concider Tim a friend"..
Have a great weekend,,, JIMMY

Their are some good cat hunters here in Oregon. I wish I could specifically answer your question, but its so hard to judge for me. For me, its all about the overall hunting experience received from hunting with a great handling, cold trailing, game catching pack. I have been fortunate to have hunted with a few houndsmen that have those qualities. I, myself, am still working towards that achievement.
I do not know who has the best because I am pretty new to hound hunting. I have trapped for some time, and decided to make the transition because of the excitement listening and watching hounds work.
I have been lucky enough to spend time in the woods with some nice guys who have helped me out.
I think Don Gilbert has some nice dogs, especially Penny, and I was able to get a pup out of Penny.
I got to hunt once with Curt, and he has some nice dogs, Bruno, Daisy, and Stretch(not sure he still has Stretch).
I was able to get a good male from his Stretch dog, and that dog has taught me alot about hound hunting. I am excited to have the chance to hunt with him this season, and learn more about his line of dogs.
I have also hunted with Tom Doman, and I really like his Shiner, Cleo, and Judy dogs. I have 2 pups from him that are a pleasure to hunt. Tom is one of the most honest, friendly, and good hearted houndsmen I have met. A day hunting with him, is a day well spent, cat or not.
I certainly do not have great dogs, but they make me happy, catch game, and I have fun hunting with them and other houndsmen.
Hope to see some of you guys that hunt around the North Umpqua this season.
Especially, Don , Curt, and Tom.
Again, thanks to all the guys that have helped me learn about cat hunting here in Oregon, I appreciate you guys taking the time to educate the less knowledgable, such as myself.
December 1st can't come quick enough for me. Thanks for the invites to hunt Tom and Curt, I can't wait!
If there is anyone else that lives in Oregon, feel free to call, I would love to hunt and learn more from the experienced. I also would like the chance to see how the guys on the East Side hunt over there.
Have a safe and successful season cat season,
Marc

so you guys can think what you want outa the whole thing and take what you will.
like i said i hunt with people that go just to have a good time and hunt the dogs. if you cant have fun, then why do it? i have bent over backwards for that guy over the years and finaly had to call it as a lost. im not saying i havent had fun with him, just too many headaches, thats all! and still cant get far enough away from him to suit me. pot stirring at its finest! sounds like the golden spoon just got passed on!

Oh, and by the way TIM, please take my pictures off of your website so that i am not any further associated with you or your outfit! you DO NOT have my permission to have them on there! thank you. we both know the truth and thats what makes us differant!
as to all the others that have read this forum, i hope you will come to your own conclusion and make your own decisions. i am sorry for the ranting but some things have to be said for people to understand. like i said before, this forum is a place for me to pass the time between kids, dogs and work. there is a lot of valuable info on here. you just have to pick and chose what you want to take from it. with that said, happy hunting to all

Son you need to keep your thoughts to yourself, not bash on the internet, I dont know either of you, but if your a man, not boy, you will trash him to his face, not to others. LOL
