Overall male dogs will have more heart and grit. Start sendin em by theirself on something they have to catch and kill and you will know the answer damn quick.

With all do respect, I don't think anyone can say what are grittier than others. It depends on the dogs. One thing I can say is my females are alligators.

Just my experiences with killin different types of critters with dogs. Never seen but a few females that could even make an honest showin with a male dog. Aint got nothin to do with their other qualities though cause I like females better.

I hear you. My dogs don't have to have that much grit. But if a cat holds up in a culvert, my females are the first ones in. They get right in there. I think it depends on the dog, but then again maybe my males are just pansies.

i personally think if a guy has gritty females he or the person who bred them for bear is doing something right . out of all the litters ive seen most of the males are the hair pullers % wise thats why i like gritty females in my breeding program.
