Josh you are a good friend and I know you have wanted to hunt in the mountains for a long time and this was a dream trip for you. I also know it didn't matter who took you hunting but it was Ike and I can't believe some of you people on here can't get off the Ike subject long enough to just simply congratulate a man on his first bear hunt. You people need to grow up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You got what you wanted Ike is gone. So leave him gone and go on with your life or go find a life. I can see this turning into another Ike bashing post instead of a guy who wanted to go on his first bear hunt in the mountains.
Josh from me to you Congrats Bud! I know not only did you get to experience a hunt you have wanted to do for a long time but you got to enjoy a vacation with your family. Don't let the posts of a few simple minded dinks ruin your memory of the trip!

couldn't have been said better!!!! i thought this circus would just die out but i guess not. i think buddy did the right thing by leaving the decision to the members of the forum, as to what do with ike. but after seeing alot of people dump on him and the poor guy that seems to have had a good vacation, i just got curious. now i don't know the man or have i ever read anything he ever posted. but i did get flat out curious. so in the members only section i happened on the poll results. very intresting, it was easy to see ike had a fair size hate club. but what was really intresting was out of appx. 4000 members there were appx. 142 voters. now i really started to think!! this may be starting to stink a little like our political system, you know what i mean, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. a hell call it what it is, the loud mouth minorty with an agenda. sure seems it may have had that kind of oder.guess thats why it continues to keep rearing its head.

It wasn't my intentions to jump on anyone in particular at all. It just amazes me that a story of one mans first bear hunt on this forum has to turn negative just because one man was involved in the story.
I have been on these forums for awhile now and if I don't like what I read I just move on. This time I got involved because it pisses me off to see a friends experience get turned into another dead horse beating. I could care less about Ike on this forum but I do care about Josh and what it meant to him to go on this hunt and all this crap is distracting from the real story here. I have never not one time ever made a negative post like this before even though I read a lot of crap on these hound dog sites.
As I sit here reading what I have posted I feel as if I have lowered myself to the negative contribution to this subject and for that Josh I owe you an apology.

i sense maybe a little guilt felt by some and they are not man enough to admit. i have seen more proof of ike telling the truth than i have ever seen of someone showing he was lying.

oh by the way there catdog sounds like you need to step back and take five. gaging over an internet post come on now!!! glad i do not half to hunt with you cause i can only imagine the cry baby fit you could throw when something SERIOUS happens like a pup running trash

Awesome pictures. I sure try to get my dogs to handle like that but, we're still working on that. I know what your talking about sucking wind. In them tall ass mountains us "low landers" ain't used to it. Glad you had an awesome trip.

Not to give it much thought but, I'd like to say something. I believe envy and jeolously have alot to do with the lack of tolerance people have. Some people are envyous that some guys simply get to spend so much time in the woods enjoying the things most of us would die to do. Those (myself included) aren't willing or can't make the sacrifices nessecary to do so. It's appearent that Ike has made a lasting impression on alot of people. Some good and some bad. Either way, he's still being discussed on a forum that he's no longer a member of. That's were legendary status begins. I didn't agree with some things the man said like making personal comments on someone that should/could have been taken care of in private. That's not a condimnation tho. It's a charactor issue. I am all for someone speaking their mind and there's nothing wrong with an arguement. If you don't like what someone is saying don't read the post. It's like asking a question that you really don't want to know the answer to.

P.S. I never spoke to the man and I didn't vote either way.

Holy Shit, what a bunch of pot stirring trouble makers! Leave this guy's story alone. There's a handful of people on here who stir the shit on about every third post. .
