It is illegal to cull your own hounds as well. Some people are too quick to cull a hound, either they are to stupid to train it or dont have the patients, not all dogs start out as all stars. One of my best hounds was about a day away from a bullet when I got him about three years ago. Saved the dog and it happens to be one hell of a hound, will do it all but strike. He is a great start dog and one hell of a tree dog, not bad for a walker. LOL.

Are you working for HSUS or PETA now!!!
Take care, Willie
Yeah Dumbazz, I work for PETA!!! WTF!!!

I work in a taxidermy shop, I dont think I would qualify for a PETA worker.

Yeah, not all of us are playing with our Willie. I was just stating the facts. I happen to like dogs more than I do most people. It really posses me off to hear that someone shot this mans dog, that is why I offered $500 up in the reward.

Let's stay on imchestnut's topic here. This guy's dog was killed by some lowlife while imchestnut and his hound were hunting legally.
None of us want someone else making life and death decisions for even our worst hounds for us. If the dog isn't endangering life or limb, we retain the right to decide when to cull for ourselves, even if some of us would make different decisions than others. All of our dogs and our entire sport are in danger if we don't stick together on this one.
Thank-you to the guys who chipped in for a reward. Too bad local law enforcement has shown no interest, but they probably will show some interest if houndsmen do all the work for them. Keep your ears open in the local bars, and our sympathy to you, imchestnut and family.

Well, they didn't end up catching the person yet. Lots of people called in offering help or had heard a rumor but nothing substantial. As before, I appreciate everyone's offer to help with the reward and getting the word out. I hope people at least know that this kind of BS doesn't go unnoticed.
