Hey Brian you beat me to posting here haha.
Maybe I should add my question now to your post.
Anyway for everyone else, I have that style of bluetick as well, I do not like sticky dogs, they need to move out, if they bark in the same place twice I'm over it.
My old dogs were older Hammer x Uchtman and my latest batch is that crossed on Smokey River stuff (heavy Diamond Jim) out of Buzz Anderson/Les Mitchell stuff. Although I do have a young female out of my old stuff and some more modern 'coondog' stuff that has been doing good and my style as well.
They do a good job on multiple species because I have to switch hit to get enough time in the woods without spending a million dollars on gas going out of state, but what I absolutely expect them to produce on is bobcats, bare ground or snow, east side, west side, I do road and horse hunt the dogs but I do expect all of them to be able to strike and start a cat off the box as well.
I'll eventually be looking for a stud dog as all of mine are too close now. I'd like to breed to a registered bluetick (instead of totally outcrossing to a running dog lol) but it needs to be the style of dog I like, which isn't always easy to find.

Here's my post/question from facebook...

I am seeking suggestions, thoughts and opinions on Bluetick (meaning purebred, hopefully registered) stud dogs available, anywhere around the country, Canada or Mexico, that are good bobcat dogs.
Would like to know, age, size, bloodline, location and whatever else you would like to add about the dog, like track style, speed, tree style etc.
Dog may be a multi game dog and successful on other game but must be catching at least 20+ cats a season, bare ground (not just getting turned loose on a track in the snow although obviously we all hunt in the snow if it's there but I'm not looking for dogs that ONLY get hunted in the snow) and striking cats off the rig or producing pups that get those two things accomplished.

Would like to compile a list of dogs and meet other folks that are successful with blueticks on bobcat, I’ll be needing a stud to breed to in the future, all mine are related pretty close now.

I probably am friends here already with many folks that might respond but that's fine, I know there is more than just a few of us catching cats with blueticks and perhaps there are some folks out there we have never met doing the same.

This is not a breed discussion thread, I have been toying with the idea of outside running dog x blood and I know where to find that, but I'd really like to know what other blueticks there are out there catching cats.

I'd like to know the same about any blueticks being used on grey fox.

Thanks!
