This is EXACTLY what got Ike in trouble in the first place. He has tamed down the rhetoric by leaps and bounds from the early days. This is what rubbed poeple wrong and that is what stuck.

I can't argue with this, I'm sure I hunt sub-par dogs by other people's standards. Mine usually crap in the box, babble and are general nuisance most of the time. Sort of like me. But some of them will chase a critter and even sometimes put it in a tree. And when that happens it's not a situation that should be documented in the annals of living history. That is usually the feeling when I read most of the stories on here, especially Ike's. It sounded like a good hunt but it's probably pretty similiar to the majority of successfull hunts that guys have. It's impossible to compare dogs between hunters without hunting them side by side. Stories don't cut it, no matter how good they are. To have a top to bottom all star pack a guy either has to have a lot of money, time or both. Most of us on here don't fit that category no matter how much we'd like to. Well enough babblin by this guy, good hunting to everybody.

Im 16 and have been hound hunting since i was 8. I love coming on to this web site to learn how to make my dogs better and time in the woods more enjoyable just like everyone else. I like to follow the guys posts that i can tell are knowledgeable houndsmen and know what there talking about. but coming on here and seeing posts like the ones that houndnem has on this thread, or some others on other threads really makes me think girls from my highschool are coming on here just to start unnecisay drama . I sure hate it when a good thread is ruined by a bunch of a$$holes who have no reason to post the stuid things they do, i mean seriously act your age and grow up. I think people should beable to show respect even if they are on the web. This is the first time ive ever said anything about one of these arguments on the web, but i think some guys need to learn how set an example and would think they would do what this site is for and give your input to younger or not as experienced hunters, or just show some pictures that all of us enjoy looking at. by the way that was a great story and wish i had some dogs that behaved like the ones that ike has

Very good post buddy, you hit the nail on the head with that one man. I have a lot of respect for a 16 year old kid saying what you just said, I sure wish I had that kind of attitude about things when I was that age. So if someone goes against the grain and disagrees with a post then they are automatic a$$holes and teenage drama queens? I just don't aggree with the free strokin these guys are givin the "ol Ikester" on this thread. he was the biggest drama queen the site has ever seen! he had more negativity, more profanity, and everything you are saying you disagree with. I could just set back and ignore this post and I wouldn't have to eat large quantities of sh*t from everybody,but that is the beuty of an open forum. you should have all veiws expressed from both sides of the spectrum. I could have handled my comments better and more mature than I did, but it pisses me off when about ten people tell me just to shut my mouth and ingnore the thread if I don't like it. I try to build people up and help the newbies every chance I get. But I also will put my 2 cents in when I disagree with something on a thread. that's why we live in the U.S.A. freedom of speach pal. sometimes it's fun to lock horns and spar on here, but if you went through my posts you would see that I'm not always startin trouble. I never once took anything away from this fellars hunt, I congradulated him and I thought it looked like a great time, but I just don't think it's time to put ike into god status yet. I don't belive in all this "my dogs are better than your dogs" crap that goes on on here. I don't think that my dogs are better than anybody else on here or any worse. they are just good dogs for me and they catch enough to keep me happy. The problem I had with ike was him saying that his dogs had evolved to be something greater than any of us joe bloes could ever have.his stories always got 10 feet deep in b.s. and I don't see how that was very helpful on here. I guess if that makes me an a$$ hole then so be it!

Nolte, I am not sure Dawg is giving you full credit. LOL. Even if you do make fun of us Plott guys I have to give you credit on most of your posts, especially the bear hunting ones. Your post that I copied is "spot on". Most of us don't have an all star pack but are lucky to have one that will tree most of what we put them on. Most of this BS comes from guys that strap their egos on their dogs backs. Leave the ego thing at home and let the dogs just hunt!

sorry houndnem i didnt mean to specificaly call you out. it was more of an open post to all the the negative posts on this site and just happen to see the one on this thread from you. but hell im sure your a good guy. i never payed alot of attention to ikes post so i cant judge what kind of guy he is or anything. but i dont believe there is a problem with controdicting some ones posts on here if it actualy helps somting out or is for the better.
