Probably because nobody is bringing them up, unlike these where other breeds are being ragged on because they are not plotts.

I'm sure when you're in a bar and you can hear someone chirping in the corner about you, you just ignore it and don't say anything. :D

Some of you guys remind me of the type of guys who get a truck, jack it all up, put big tires on it and then get pissed off when some average joe blow gets just as far by not being an idiot and on half as much gas.

I could be wrong but I haven't seen everyone trashing a breed on this thread, just talking about their dogs and what they get out of em, and of course it is a comparison to any and all other hound breeds out there when you are talking about why you hunt the ones you do. the B&T thread was used as an example of an unbothered topic, not a dog comparison. I have owned other breeds and still have one, but have not seen the same results from them as I have my plotts, and it is undeniable and noticable at my house. Preston Joy said it pretty good without singling out any other breed. My off colored dog is a good dog, worth feeding, but is not in the same league as the plotts. None of the other breed of dogs that I have owned or hunted with were. i am really looking forward to hunting with a new strain of plotts this summer and seeing for myself what they are all about, actually gonna try one soon. I know the guys that hunt them are honest and hunt hard and expect results. I think there expectations exceed most peoples and that their dogs must meet them, because I have not found them to be liars or exagerators yet. I am really looking forward to seeing this strain of plotts run into a phone booth after they get out of the box and come back out wearing a cape  Instead of calling BS I would suggest taking up offers to go see dogs hunt. I did and it changed what is in my yard.

I find it difficult to understand why it bothers you so much that people like to talk about their dogs when they are not plotts. Kind of like an atheist who gets furious when they here something about God or Jesus. If you don't believe it why does it make you so mad. I don't tease little kids who talk about Santa. It doesn't hurt you any if the rest of us hunt with "INFERIOR" hounds. If you are so Breed Sure why are you reading the Black and Tan board. I liked the heading of the post "plott guys only." Thats like a "no girls allowed" sign over your tree house.

I own three plotts currently and have had three get killed in the past two years. I grew up with and around plotts. Those are the only dogs my dad ever owned, or would ever own. I got a black and tan a few years ago and since have had good success out of the dogs of that line. I still kept my plotts and will continue to do so. The best dog Ive ever hunted with was a plott. Historically plotts have produced more bear dogs. Just bragging on a different breed is not throwing off on yours.

1st place bear bay

I hunted with two other houndsmen one used all walkers and the other all plotts. We didn't argue about which kinda dog was better. Of course we knew the plott guy preferred his, and the walker guy his. We all caught bear and I luckily got some good pups from each that have formed my pack today.

Chris, you have it backwards.

I think you are the one who has it backwards. You are asking everyone to leave the plott board alone when you were the one who started the plott preaching on the black and tan board when a man was trying to decide on whether or not to get a black and tan. That resulted in a bunch of argument over whether plotts were ill or not.

That was not other breeds harrassing the plott board that was you starting in on black and tans in the black and tan board and then getting mad when people started in on the plott stereotypes in retaliation.

Now you are making a plea to the plott people to harrass others for using other breeds. Why worry about it if so many people are using B&Ts (and they are not around here) then there should be more game for you and yours to clean up behind other's inferior hounds.

Yeah...you still don't get it. Pretty sure I haven't asked all plott guys on this board to start attacking other threads. Looking for opinions on a puzzling topic. So if you want to give me your opinion on the question that I asked that would be great. If not, get over it.

So I have been wondering why it is that the B&T guys have a thread or two going on here highlighting and discussung that breed, and no one has bothered to tell them that their choice is inferior?

This is your original question, I believe, and my answer to that is that unlike yourself, everyone else isn't losing sleep over what kinda dog all the other houndsmen are using. Most people don't find it "puzzling" why others don't insult people for their personal preferences. Maybe you are the one who has something they need to get over.

The title to this thread is just as you intended, to stir the pot so don't try to play dumb and back track as if you were looking for an answer from your fellow plott houndsmen. If you wanted an honest answer you would have titled it differently to get the answer from the guys who are supposedly against you, not get the pump up plotts answers from plott guys. Nice job hi jacking Brent's add for the bear dog he has for sale, you are relentles in the act of being a dick non stop. It has already been said, it's not the dogs, it's the owners. Stay queer on those plotts.

Larry, everyone has the right to run what they want, I love my Plotts and I wouldnt sellem for all the gold in fort knox, but the two dogs that get my pack going are, well ones a walker the other is a walker/Black & Tan/Red Tick cross and there jam up dogs. Now I think most of these guys are right in some sence, and I havent seen anyone on any of the other threads bad mouthin plotts, they bad mouth the handlers more then the dogs them selves, and for good reason for the most part, now dont get me wrong larry I'm a Plott guy to the bone, but I dont see the need in fightin about it.

All right TRC I have to call bs here. A plott guy to the bone? I could over look you saying you have two dogs that get your pack going and one is a walker and the other a walker cross. Most plott guys have just plotts, nothing else will do. But the one thing that you said that was the kicker is "for all the gold in Fort Knox". No way no how any body that calls themselves a true plott will not sell there dogs for all the gold in the Fort.

Well Reed, If ya wanna take it like that thats your deal, I have three walker dogs and "NINE" Plott's, My two strike dogs were Plott's before the walker dogs but they are dead now and dont do me a whole lot of good, I have four young Plott dogs that are commin on real good and should be startin of the truck this year, they all did well for me a few weeks ago in Utah in two weeks they put four lion and a hand full of bobcat up for me. But if you want me to reword my statment,"The two dogs that I trust 100% right now are two walker dogs" is that better? And I dont know how long you've been in the game, but I think I have the right to call myself a Plott guy, being's I have ran Plott's for quite a few years now. And for another thing I never once said anything about the breed's ability to hunt. I have quite a few good Plott's and a few out standing Plott's, but if you were to tell me, you had a Plott that was any better then one of the two walker dogs I spoke about, I would have to say you would have to put your money were your mouth was. This is the reason I quit posting any thing on here, is because some of you guys just want to fight about stupid shit. And I have been busy huntin my dogs and not just talkin about huntin my dogs!!!
